Hutchison Hayes Process L.P. operates a lube oil refining and blending facility in Baytown, TX. Utilizing proprietary filtration technology, the process plant has the capability to recover highly distressed oils into virgin grade base oils and lubricants.
The filtration technology was developed in conjunction with the Separation division of Hutchison Hayes, which has manufactured centrifuges for the oil and food industry since 1929. Unlike any other in the marketplace, this technology allows the process plant to accept feedstocks that conventionally would not have been recoverable as lubricants.
A complete laboratory located within the process plant closely monitors all incoming and outgoing feedstocks and finished products to ensure quality.
The Baytown Process plant boasts over 1,000,000 Gallons (~25,000 BBL’S) of tankage and two rail spurs with an ability to hold over 25 total railcars. The Baytown plant is supported by a fleet of railcars and trucks maintained and operated by Hutchison Hayes Transportation LLC.
The plant operates under EPA permit # A85888 & TXR000005876 and is designated by the EPA and TCEQ as a recycler of used oil. Every single drop of oil at the process plant is sold into lubricant markets. Adhering to the highest environmental principle, finished products are not sold into one-time use markets such as fuel or road oiling. It is Hutchison Hayes intention to see that lube oil is recycled over and over again.
Hutchison Hayes Process L.P. is a member of the National Oil Recycler’s Association (NORA.)
